Western Michigan Univeristy Jazz Masters Series Presents: Billy Hart at Dalton Center Recital Hall

Billy Hart has performed with Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery, Shirley Horn, Miles Davis, Stan Getz among others, and has appeared as a sideman on hundreds of recording over the past 50 years. He continues to keep a very busy performance schedule with The Cookers, Quest, the Saxophone Summit and many other contemporary groups. He is also a bandleader and composer who has recorded with his various ensembles including his quartets most recent release One is the Other on ECM Records.

Mr. Hart began his relationship with WMU over 25 years ago as an Artist-in-Residence and has continued as a vital force in the development and advancement of WMU jazz faculty and students. ...
